Project overview
Brooklands sustainable business campus in Cambridge represents a remarkable project aimed at meeting the needs of tech businesses while prioritising sustainability and collaboration. Situated in the heart of Cambridge, the campus offers convenient access to the city’s rail station and amenities, making transportation and local services easily accessible to occupants.
The development features 67,000 sq ft of Grade A office space spread across two buildings, with Building B standing as a four-story structure and Building A as a smaller two-story building.
Innovative design elements are incorporated, including outside collaboration spaces such as roof terraces and a tranquil courtyard bridging the gap between the buildings.
As a future-facing campus in the heart of one of the UK’s greenest cities, sustainability is at the core of the project with a focus on net-zero carbon, fossil-free operation. It is currently on course to be Cambridge’s first net zero carbon office development, with BREAAM Excellent and EPC A+ ratings being targeted. The buildings are designed with features such as gardens and reduced vehicle use contribute to improved air quality high levels, increased fresh air ventilation, and 300 secure cycle spaces, promoting reduced environmental impact and employee well-being.
