SDC are recruiting a Bid Coordinator to join our work-winning team based at our Bedford Head Office. The successful candidate will be part of the Bid Team who produce compelling and professional proposals for a diverse range of £multi-million
construction projects.
The Role of the Bid Coordinator
Working closely with the proposals and bid teams, you will be required to coordinate work-winning PQQs and tenders. The successful candidate will re-write, proof-read and sub-edit content to a high standard and take responsibility for the timely production of proposal documents. Working with internal and external teams to produce first class written submissions, this will include writing sections from scratch or improving narrative provided by others.
It is important that the Bid Coordinator is able to identify the needs and values of the Client so that these can be addressed in submissions, balanced at all times with the Company strategy in order to ensure the successful delivery of PQQs and tenders.
The successful candidate will also produce a quality and aesthetically workable document for electronic issue, executing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Duties will include:
Working with bid teams to identify project objectives.
Collaborate with a range of personnel to develop expert responses.
Producing persuasive written material.
Support the Bid Team with Researching and writing technical content for proposals.
Experience and Qualifications
A proficient level of English (A-level or higher). However, experience and expertise of bid coordination / writing would be of equal merit.
Essential Skills
- Ability to coordinate with colleagues and work to deadlines.
- Proven IT skills, preferably with experience of producing
- PowerPoint documents.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload and deliver multiple priorities within demanding timescales.
- Ability to continually improve the quality of work sent out by the company.
- An eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent literacy and presentation skills.
