Sustainability

Invested in sustainable impact

We’re set up to play an active role in shaping a greener future.

Our employee ownership model provides security and stability for the business and our clients. Allowing us to look ahead and make positive decisions that have a long-term impact over short-term changes.

Sustainability is a priority for us and our projects. We’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint and making environmentally conscious choices. Sustainability in construction is about more than just the finished product—it’s about the process. We make sure our operations are as eco-friendly as possible, using energy-efficient equipment and sustainable materials wherever we can. We use our electric machinery on our sites and implement rainwater harvesting systems to reduce our overall environmental impact. Waste reduction is another priority for us, and we actively promote recycling throughout the construction phases.

We also recognize the importance of tackling embodied carbon—the emissions produced during the construction process. That’s why we offer whole life-cycle carbon emission analyses at the design stage, ensuring that every project is optimized for sustainability from the ground up. Our goal is to not only minimize carbon output but also meet and exceed industry standards for sustainable building.

But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop with us. We work closely with our supply chain partners to ensure they adopt similar eco-friendly practices. This includes encouraging the use of sustainable materials and renewable energy sources throughout the entire project lifecycle. By fostering collaboration and shared values, we aim to create a ripple effect that promotes sustainability across the construction industry.

We’re committed to driving positive environmental change to build a greener, more sustainable future for generations
to come.

Sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s a commitment, and we’re proud of the measurable progress we’ve made.

Carbon Emissions Reduction

We’re aiming for a 42% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and a 90% reduction by 2045. This aligns with global climate goals set by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). In our baseline year of 2022-2023, 36% of our total carbon emissions came from fuels, followed by 21% from business travel, and 12% from our fleet operations.

Renewable Energy Integration

We’ve installed photovoltaic (PV) panels at our headquarters and on several project sites. These generate renewable energy to power our offices and site accommodations. Our headquarters is also equipped with solar panels, electric vehicle charging points, and energy-efficient building systems to further reduce our carbon footprint.

Sustainability in Construction

We incorporate sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs into our construction projects. Our aim is to meet high environmental standards like BREEAM and Passivhaus certifications, which focus on reducing energy use and promoting sustainability in building design.

Electric Vehicles and Equipment

We’ve transitioned a large part of our fleet to electric vehicles, reducing our reliance on diesel. To support this, we’ve installed electric vehicle charging points at our offices. We also use electric plant machinery and tools on-site to lower emissions during construction.

Waste Management

Reducing waste is a priority for us. Across our projects, we actively recycle and manage construction waste, ensuring we minimise what goes to landfill and make the best use of available resources.
